Happy New Year!
With a new year typically comes new goals, initiatives, projects, etc.
2018 is no different here at Kaztex. We're moving forward on two pretty big projects -- one a proactive acquisition search; the other a general beefing up of our internal operations, budgets, and the like. And while I'm enthusiastic about both, they also pose a threat if I'm not careful. Namely, by adding more to the already-busy list of day-to-day responsibilities (working in my business), will I begin to lose time that I'd be working on my business?
So this year will also be an experiment in intentionally scheduling project-free, task-free, busywork-free time to step back and assess. "Whitespace," as some call it. A new habit to build which I hope will aid our effectiveness in the year to come.
And with a new year also come new opportunities. Should any business-owning clients or contacts express a desire to sell their business, I hope that Kaztex would come to mind. Our focus remains on companies in Southeastern WI, sales up to $15mm, in manufacturing and/or distribution industries. 2017 saw 2 PE deals close and we're shooting for at least 2 more in 2018.
